BSP Samoa continues to support Young Rugby talent
Committed to developing grassroots rugby, BSP came on board again this year to support the Schools National Rugby 15 Championships with a sponsorship worth $30,000.
BSP Samoa, reaffirmed its commitment to fostering grassroots talent in the realm by coming on board as the naming rights sponsor for the Schools National Rugby 15 Championships.
BSP Samoa Head of Corporate Jone Vuli, said they were thrilled to once again partner with the National Schools Rugby 15 Championships and support the next generation of rugby stars. "As a bank deeply committed to promoting sports excellence and youth development, we believe in the power of sports to inspire, empower, and unite communities," he said.
The sponsorship, totalling ST$30,000, comprises both monetary contribution of $15,000 and in-kind support valued at ST$15,000, emphasizing BSP’s dedication to empowering youth sports initiatives.
“Through this sponsorship, BSP aims to provide a platform for aspiring athletes to showcase their abilities, hone their skills, and pursue their passion for rugby. By nurturing talent at the grassroots level, BSP not only invests in the future of the sport but also in the holistic development of young athletes,” Vuli added.
The championships, which commenced on Monday 22nd of April with intense quarter-final matches, culminated with the highly anticipated finals on Friday. Featuring 24 teams in the boys' division and 24 teams in the girls' division, the championship showcased the remarkable skills and determination of young rugby players from across the nation.
BSP extended its congratulations to all participating teams for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship throughout the championship.
