BSP Supports National 15s and 7s School Rugby Championship as Naming Rights Sponsors
The Samoa School Rugby National 15s and 7s Championship 2023 received a boost of ST$10,000 from Bank of South Pacific (BSP) to host the Titles.
BSP supported the prestigious event as naming rights sponsors that will see the best school rugby teams from around Samoa compete for the coveted championship title.
BSP Samoa Country Manager, Jennifer Fruean when presenting the ST$10,000 cheque to the CEO of Lakapi Samoa, Faleomavaega Vincent Fepuleai said, “BSP is proud to invest towards the development of juniors – both boys and girls at the school level. This is exciting for us to be involved with these youngsters at the school level and provide a pathway for future stars.”
“The sponsorship is just one of BSP’s initiatives to support sports development in Samoa. The bank also has been actively involved in supporting grassroots sports programs, sponsoring various community events, and partnering with local sports organizations to promote development,” added Fruean.
She said: “We believe in supporting the communities we operate in. Whether it be through sports development among our youngsters in the community level or through our Community Projects covering Health and Education.

BSP’s total support of the event is worth ST$15,000 with ST$10,000 presented as a cheque to support the staging of the event whilst ST$5,000 worth of BSP merchandise will also be donated for the event.
The Schools Rugby 15s National Championship 2023 will be held on April 17, 19, and 21, while the Schools Rugby 7s National Championship will be held on June 2 and 3, 2023.
Both tournaments are expected to draw a large number of spectators and participants across the country. BSP’s involvement as the name rights sponsor is a testament to the bank’s commitment to supporting sports development in Samoa.
